Optical Network Technology (ONT) Lab: Software Defined Optical Network (SDON) Testbed, a cutting-edge facility designed to explore and advance the capabilities of optical networking technology. Our testbed is equipped with state-of-the-art components, including 2x Transponders (AS7716 24SC CASSINI) from Edgecore, and 2x Reconfigurable Add/Drop Multiplexers (ROADM-20) from Lumentum. The computational backbone comprises 2x high-performance nodes featuring Core i7 9th Gen, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and 2TB HDD, along with an additional server powered by Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650, 128GB RAM, and a 2TB HDD. This robust infrastructure is complemented by a 25KM fiber spool to facilitate extended reach testing. The lab also houses an array of optical accessories, including Optical Power Meters, Variable Attenuators, DAC Cables, and Port Cleaners, providing a comprehensive environment for optical experimentation and research.
